seriously I am trying to knit this winter, or trying to learn- I vowed I would do something new this winter and may never do it again or may fall in love with it- I usually read or do embroidery but got burned out for awhile on the embroidery and decided it was time to learn something new
My favorite is quilting, I piece tops in the warmer months, then hand quilt the quilts in the winter. My dog always plops down on the quilts and makes it impossible to turn but thats ok.
It's a great way to keep warm and very relaxing.

Since I don't like the cold, my favorite winter time activity is hand quilting. Sitting in my rocker with a quilt in my lap helps to keep me warm on those cold, nasty winter days. Great give away. Winona

What an awesome giveaway. My favorite winter hobbies are reading and playing the piano!! When the sun is out (which isn't often here), it's hard to sit and read and if I'm sitting at the piano when the weather is nice, my front garden calls my name (the birds sing it, actually) so I spend hours doing those in the winter! I love any kind of hand-work in the winter....hand-quilting, applique, crochet, or my newly-learned knitting...along with sitting near the fireplace with a soft quilt on my lap as I sew/crochet/knit. I love to embroider because I can do it while I'm in the car(riding, silly) or watching tv or in the waiting room at the doctor....And I always end up with a nice gift for someone....
